SHARE A VISION OF FAITH, NOT FEAR

“We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”

"우리가 가서 그 땅을 가지자, 우리는 확실히 승리할 수 있다." 민수기  13장 13절

If you look at the future with fear instead of faith, then you will underestimate the abilities God has given you. Seeing life with eyes of fear causes you to bury your talents.    만약 믿음 대신에 두려움으로 미래를 본다면, 하나님이 당신에게 주신 능력을 과소평가하게 될 것입니다.  두려움의 눈으로 삶을 바라보는 것은 재능을 묻어버리게 됩니다.

When Moses sent spies to scope out the Promised Land, 10 of the 12 came back and said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are” (Numbers 13:31 NIV). Even though God had promised to be with them, they responded in fear rather than faith. Only Joshua and Caleb believed in God’s promise that they could take possession of the land.      모세가 정탐꾼을 약속에 땅에 정찰을 보냈을 때, 12명 중에 10명이 돌아와서 말했습니다., "우리는 그 사람들을 공격할 수 없습니다. 그들이 우리보다 더 강합니다." (민수기 13장 31절).  하나님이 그들과 함께 계신다는 약속이 있음에도, 그들은 믿음보다 두려움으로 반응했습니다. 단 여호수아와 갈렙만 그들이 그 땅을 가질 수 있다는 하나님의 약속을 믿었습니다.

People who always say, “I can’t” and the people who always say “I can” are both right. Why? Because fear creates self-fulfilling prophecies. This happened to Job when he said, “What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me” (Job 3:25 NIV).    항상 "난 할 수 없어." 그리고 항상 "나는 할 수 있어."라고 말하는 사람들, 둘 다 맞는 말을 하는 겁니다. 왜냐고요? 두려움이 자기성취적인 예언을 만들기 때문입니다. 이것은 욥에게도 일어났습니다. 욥은 " 내가 두려워하는 것이 나에게로 온다. 내가 두려워하는 것이 나에게 일어났다." (욥기 3장 25절 )이라고 말을 했습니다.

A vision based on fear rather than faith is going to limit you for your entire life. You’re going to miss opportunities. You’re going to waste the talent that God gave you. And you’re going to set yourself up with self-defeating predictions.    두려움에 기초한 비젼은 믿음에 근거한 것보다 당신의 전반적인 삶에 있어 당신을 한정 짓습니다. 당신은 기회들을 놓치게 될 겁니다. 당신은 하나님이 당신에게 주셨던 재능을 낭비하게 될 것입니다. 그래서 당신은 자기 패배를 예언하여 스스로를 그렇게 결정지을 것입니다.

The spies with fear-based vision saw themselves as inadequate. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size... We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them” (Numbers 13:32-33 NIV).     두려움이 깔린 채 비젼을 가졌던 정찰꾼들은 스스로가 적합지 않다고 보았습니다. 그들은 말했습니다. " 우리가 정탐한 땅은 살기에 힘든 곳입니다. 우리가 보았던 사람들은  건장합니다... 우리는 우리 스스로가 보아도 메뚜기 같습니다. 그러니 그들 눈에도 그렇게 보일 겁니다. (민수기 13장 32절-33절) 

There really were giants in the Promised Land! They caused some of the Israelites to see themselves as tiny bugs sure to get squashed. That’s a defeating self-image. It didn’t affect just the spies’ confidence; it also caused them to project their fears on others. That’s the problem with a fear-based vision: The way you see yourself and life will rub off on the people around you.   약속에 땅에 정말로 거인들이 있었습니다. 일부 이스라엘이  스스로를  작은 벌레로 보고 거인들이 충분히 그들을 으스러뜨릴 거라고 확신하였습니다.  그것은 자기 패배적인 자상입니다. 그것은 정찰자들, 자신에게 영향을 미쳤을 뿐 아니라 다른 이들에게도 두려움을 추정하게 만들었습니다. 두려움을 근거로 가진 비전은 문제가 됩니다. 당신이 스스로 바라보는 그 방식은 당신 주변의 사람들에게도 영향을 미칩니다.

If the spies had looked at the Promised Land with faith instead of fear, they would have seen the same thing Joshua and Caleb did: a land flowing with milk and honey. Even when they looked at the giants, Joshua and Caleb saw their potential through God’s eyes. They said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it” (Numbers 13:30 NIV).    정찰꾼이 약속의 땅을 두려움이 아닌 믿음으로 바라보았다면, 그들은 여호수아와 갈렙이 즉, 우유와 꿀이 풍족한 땅이라고 말했던 것처럼 바라보았을 겁니다.  심지어는 그들이 거인들을 보았을 때도, 여호수아와 갈렙은 하나님의 시각으로 그들이 잠재성을 바라보았습니다. 그들은 " 우리가 올라가서 그 땅을 가져야해,  우리가 확실히 그렇게 할 수 있어.(민수기 13장 30절)

Never underestimate what God can do through you when you obey him in faith. Whatever he has called you to do, you can certainly accomplish in his strength   당신이 믿음으로 하나님께 순종할 때 하나님이 당신을 통해 할 수있는 것들을 절대로 과소평가하지 마세요. 그가 당신이 하게 하도록 부를 때는 무엇이건  그의 힘으로 확실히 행할 수 있습니다.
